CURRENT MEMORY VERSE:  John 1:14

“And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.”

We are taking the next year to memorize Scripture as a church.

Below are the verses we have memorized so far:

Week 2- Colossians 3:16
Col. 3:16 Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you,  with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,  singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

Week 3- Isaiah 26:3 (ESV)
Is. 26:3 You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.

Week 4- Galatians 2:20

Week 5- Psalm 103:1-4

Bless the LORD, O my soul,  And all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget none of His benefits;
Who pardons all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases; Who  redeems your life from the pit, Who  crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion;

Week 6 - Joshua 1:8

This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it;  for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.

Week 7 - 2 Corinthians 5:21

He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Week 8: John 14:6

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me."

Week 9:  2 Timothy 1:7

"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and of a sound mind."

Week 10:  Romans 10:9-10

"that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that  God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes,  resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses,  resulting in salvation."

Week 11: 1 John 2:1-2

My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins,  we have an   Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world.

Week 12 - 1 John 4:9-10

By this the love of God was manifested in us, that  God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him.  In this is love,  not that we loved God, but that  He loved us and sent His Son to bes the propitiation for our sins.

Week 13 - Lamentations 3:21-23

This I recall to my mind,
    Therefore I have hope.

The LORD’S  lovingkindnesses  indeed never cease,
     For His compassions never fail.

They are new  every morning;
    Great is  Your faithfulness.

Week 14 - 1 John 3:2

Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is.

Week 15 - Isaiah 57:15

For thus says the  high and exalted One
    Who lives forever, whose name is Holy,
    “I dwell on a high and holy place,
    And also with the  contrite and lowly of spirit
    In order to revive the spirit of the lowly
    And to revive the heart of the contrite."

Week 16 - Isaiah 9:6

For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us;
    And the  government will  rest  on His shoulders;
    And His name will be called  Wonderful Counselor,  Mighty God,
    Eternal  Father, Prince of  Peace.

Week 17 -  John 1:14

“And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.”
